Lantern defines the cat walk

On the evening of Thursday, 26 July, Lantern School held its annual Mr and Miss Lantern pageant in the school hall.

The hall was full of excitement and joy as it was a night that was long awaited and required a lot of planning. All of the learners looked stunning. The judges said they had outstanding self-confidence as well as good stage presence.

There were numerous categories and lots of lovely winners.

The winner of the Grade 1–3 Miss Petite category was Petro van der Merwe, first princess was Kgalalelo Ntseke and second princess was Angela Ngobese.

Braydon Small walked away with the Mr Cool Dude title, while Khanyo Mtashli was first prince. Lindo Sikhakhane took the second prince title.

In the Grade 4–7 category, Juanyse van Staden was crowned Miss Lantern Junior. Anika du Plessis took the first princess title and Micaela Venter was crowned as second princess.

Thabiso Sebati was crowned Mr Lantern Junior. Daylynn Pretorius won the first prince title and Ethan Singh took the second prince title.

In Grade 8–12 category, Brittany Smith took home the crown as Miss Lantern Senior, while Chante Labuschagne and Jade Gordon took the titles of first and second princess respectively.

Kian George was crowned as Mr Lantern Senior while Micheal van der Spuy and Wynand Retief won first and second prince respectively.
