On Sunday, 1 July a break-in took place at the Roodepoort Masonic Centre and a historical and sentimental piece was stolen.
Nigel Hulse, a member of Clara Lodge at the Masonic Centre said, “This plaque is a irreplaceable piece of Masonic history and we are offering a reward of R1 000 for its safe return – considerably more than its scrap metal value”.
The historical piece is from the year 1914 and carries the names of the brethren who took part in the Great War.
Should you have any information about this piece, please contact Nigel on 082 296 6713.
