Motorists still not adhering to the Road Act

This is the third letter I have written regarding the drivers who fail to stop at stop streets in Witpoortjie.

It can be seen how drivers ignore the Road Act. In the incident on Trezona Avenue on 8 June, no one died. The incident when the cyclist was knocked down on Generaal Pienaar Avenue outside Laerskool Dr Havinga also did not result in a death, but my goodness, do we have to have a fatality before South Africans realise that ignoring stop streets is dangerous and illegal?

I say, when you renew your driver’s licence, you should have to redo your licence exam and only then do you get a new licence!
