Roodepoort Police are currently investigating a case of business robbery after the Engen Petrol Station on Corlett Avenue was allegedly robbed at gunpoint this morning, 16 May.

According to the petrol attendants at the station, five unknown men arrived at the station in a silver grey Polo Vivo at about 9.15am and pretended to be customers.

They allegedly asked for biltong and popcorn before approaching the cashier and demanding money from the till and safe.

The robbers couldn’t gain access to the safe as none of the employees has access to the password. The robbery apparently only lasted a couple of minutes.
