The house on Nadine Street was ravaged by fire in the early morning hours and, although nobody was injured, the family lost all their possessions. One of the neighbours, with the help of the Florida Community Policing Forum (CPF) Sector 1 and Florida ICE group, decided to ask the community for donations towards the family.

Understandably, the family members are still quite traumatised by the events and declined an interview with the Record, but they wish to convey their heartfelt thanks. Through the community’s kindheartedness and donations, they have received everything needed to address their immediate needs, within a day after the tragic event.

They wish to extend their thanks to the Florida CPF sector members, ICE Florida CPF team, all the members of the various emergency services, the police, Fleurhof CPF and everyone who made the effort to relieve their plight.
