Bokke take on Pumas tonight

Victor Matfield will captain the Boks tonight in his final match for the national team.

It comes as no surprise that some might not know the Springboks take on Argentina in the bronze final at the Olympic Stadium on Friday in London tonight.

Bok coach Heyneke Meyer has made just two changes to the starting line up that lost against the All Blacks while the Pumas have made nine changes due to injuries in the team.

Victor Matfield replaces Lood de Jager to captain the Boks in his final international rugby appearance and Ruan Pienaar takes the spot of injured Fourie du Preez.

Bryan Habana will be looking to surpass New Zealand’s Jonah Lomu for the leading try scoring record. He is currently tied on 15 with Lomu.

The Boks will be on the lookout for Argentina’s expansive game.

They are ranked second for points scored and tries scored in the World Cup, both behind New Zealand.

Ireland’s John Lacey has been appointed as referee for the match and will be assisted by New Zealand’s Glen Jackson and Chris Pollock.

England’s Graham Hughes will be the Television Match Official.
