Four athletes from Maragon Private Schools will represent D12 (District 12) at the high schools division of the Gauteng Championships.

Chrystal Wills, Claire McKay, Georgia Franklin and Ashleigh Poxon excelled at the D12 competition in which athletes from areas such as Meadowlands, Dobsonville, Orlando West and Roodepoort participated. Georgia booked her place in the championships by winning a gold medal in the high jump, while Claire placed first in the long jump and third in 400m. Chrystal won gold medals in javelin and shot put, and a silver medal in discus. Ashleigh won a gold medal in the 300m hurdles. The athletes will be competing in the Gauteng Championships on 10 and 11 March.
