Florida’s Finest donate to charity

Adrienne Abrahams receives boxes and bags filled with goods that were collected by Florida's Finest.

A car wash business in Florida served a bigger purpose than simply cleaning vehicles.

Florida’s Finest, situated in Hull Street, held a charity day last Saturday (31 May) complete with entertainment. Proceeds from the day will go to the Chayil Foundation, a faith-based organisation that started in Johannesburg South. The Chayil Foundation has multiple functions and operates in Florida, Bosmont and Claremont.

Goods that the car wash collected for children were handed over to Chayil Foundation spokesperson Adrienne Abrahams. These items included blankets, toys, board games and clothing.

“We also are going to give them proceeds of the stickers that we sold on Saturday,” says owner Siloudeen Mills.

“A percentage of our income on the day also will be donated to the Foundation.”
